After attending Lee's Funeral yesterday it made me very HUMBLE very PROUD and very EMOTIONAL Very HUMBLE because it makes you realise what LIFE is all about when you lose one of your adopted family. Very PROUD when you stand there with 400 + of Fellow Green Howards paying Tribute to One of your own. Very EMOTIONAL just to be there.
The audience spoke volumes of the Man, Generals to Private Soldiers all with their own memories of a True Green Howard.
Rest in Peace Judo Johno,As I said before, You are with very Esteem Company.
To Lee's Family my sincere condolences. Take Care.
Lots of Love from Avril & Bob (Charlie.c)

My Wife and I went to Stockton yesterday to the funeral of Sgt Johnson, it was a very emotional service but as a regiment we should all be proud of the turnout, the church was bursting at the seams with Green Howard’s and their families, goes to show what a big family regiment we are. Once a Green Howard always a Green Howard.
Ros and I would like to wish all Green Howard’s past and present a Merry Christmas and a happy, safe and prosperous new Year.

Ray, What size do you require pictures to be for the site,? we had a clear out and came accross a few for you to add, cheers and MERRY XMAS to all X.I.X

Ray Saturday, 22 December 2007 14:27
Ideally I'd like you to send the photos in their original size (just as they come off the scanner). I can then resize them myself. Often I find that people make them too small before they send them and then when I try to enlarge them, they become blurred. If you feel you must reduce them; then don't make them any smaller that 600pixels height. That's 21.16cm or 8.33inches height of the photo.

cheers Ken and a Merry Christmas

Unable to make Jonno's funeral tomorrow but I am sure all the lads who are going will give him the send off he deserves. Once an Howard!!!

starsy Friday, 21 December 2007 14:59
no one can know just what you've lost;
no one can understand the cost;
but when you feel your energy drain,
please count on us to help ease your pain.
let us help you cope with grief;
we hope with time you'll feel relief.
we can't replace the one who's gone,
but let our concern help you carry on.
-------------------------
a little poem I found for Jonno's family at this time, and I think every Green Howard will agree, that they will help in every way they can,in the days to come.

Hi Everyone - recently one or two of you have informed me that you were unable to put an message on the guestbook and that you received an error message stating that "Your IP address has been blocked!"
In an effort to correct this problem I have now updated the guestbook to the latest version. The problem should now be resolved.
If you are one of the few that suffered from the problem - please try again and let me know if you are still having a problem, or not!
There is still a problem with this new version of the guestbook - you cannot make comments! I am looking into this, so please bear with me.

thanks for your patience
