Pat Callaghan - Hello mate, unfortunately you are right, the camera never lies - I was a bit worse for wear - but then again it proves I am still the bonniest Green Howard still living.
Ray - I think bottom left of WWW No 47 is Lt Wadsworth who was OC 1 Platoon in Catterick making the date around 1980/81.

Chris (Wally) Wallace Sunday, 8 June 2008 21:31
Punk my old mate, I think you need to borrow Julies glasses again,a good night we all had, even though we stayed in Wallsends version of Fawlty towers. As for you being the bonniest Green Howard, I beg to differ, I would put Nick Carter in front of you, even me and my youthful looks are way in front of you. Great to see you and Sandra again, we will have to get together again soon. Keep the Gay Icon rumour quiet, people will talk. Wally

jimmy foster Monday, 9 June 2008 07:23
punk you have always looked like that, you must at least bypass the mirrow every morning know you havent changed in years?.all the best jimmy

Marty Williams Monday, 9 June 2008 21:34
Wally, you can also count on me to keep the gay icon rumour quiet, when it was mentioned on the night i did however start humming Queer, i mean Queen songs and you do have a striking resemblance to Freddie Mercury even if you are a bit chubbier than him, Marty xix

Paul Cooper has just sent me a disc with literally hundreds of photos of this year's Richmond Sunday. I have selected 21 photos, which show some of the faces on parade this year. Check them out on the Association Photos page of the Friends of the Green Howards website.

Marty Williams Friday, 6 June 2008 11:55
Good photo,s them Eddie, at least two had my pretty little face on, Ron Woodall could have got smartened up, if he was still serving he would be on his tenth lap round the drill square with them two massive shells on his shoulder, Marty xix PS Glad your in training Shann, might also let you wear some of my trendy waistcoats.

Keith Friday, 6 June 2008 12:54

Lets start a revolution and put General Dannatt in charge and get rid of the puddings in parliament they maybe our boys would'nt have to rely on charity to look after them should they suffer an injury on active service

alan conn Thursday, 5 June 2008 14:39
Well said Shann, totally agree.

ALLAN CAMPBELL,EX MT PLT, Thursday, 5 June 2008 22:20
IM WITH YOU ALL THE WAY SHANN,WELL SAID MATE big grin

eddie atkinson Friday, 6 June 2008 08:43
good call Shann, what really galls me is the attitude of some public as well i keep hearing some say that well if they wern't in Iraq or Afghanistan they wouldn't be dying or getting injured it just shows the apathy and lack of knowledge by some of the citizens of this country. Don't they realise that even in peace time we have servicemen and women that are killed or seriously injured just training for the eventuality of going to war. I remember from my time in germany the big excersises allowed a certain number of casualty's. Don't these numpty's realise you can't have a well orginised well trained services ready for war by only recruiting in the times of war so you have to pay them properly to keep the experianced in the services for that actual event. We must get this message out to the unclean and uneducated.

Mace Friday, 6 June 2008 09:38
Good call Shann as the pratts in government have already decimated our country & all that our servicemen have fought to preserve over the years. One phrase i will never forget, IN TIMES OF WAR WE FIGHT FOR PEACE, IN TIMES OF PEACE WE TRAIN FOR WAR !
