Hi Lads,

Arthur informs me that some of you may be having difficulty receiving information on the Malayan Medal.
I have spoken to the RBL branch who are organising the medal presentation here at the museum in March.
Please send your details direct to a.bentley@talktalk.net
Alex will apply for your medals direct. He will require your details by Wednesday 13 February 2008 to ensure he can help you get the medal.
Hope this information helps

All the Best

Andy

Alan Conn Friday, 8 February 2008 14:48
Many thanks for your message Andy. Information required has been passed on to Alex at the above email address. Cheers

Further to my comment to Phil and Marty,
I can book a 16 seater luxury minibus for the sum of £320.00 that means the fare would be £20.00 return which I think seems pretty reasonable, but I will still ring other firms for quotes.
We will sort out the pick-up points and drop-offs at the March North Meet. Feel free to leave to leave any comments, if you have any suggestions.

Cheers Phil, I have got a good team to help, by the way are you going to the Castlford Meet in March.
I will keep 3 places for you Marty.

Nick Carter Thursday, 7 February 2008 21:34
Marty, I notice that you didn't mention the karaoke conflict between Bri Hird and Kev Beet, they wanted me and you to decide who was the best crooner and wanted us to take sides, which is very unfair as they know that you and I go back a long way. Well, as you know, I am from a musical family (even our sewing machine was a singer...Jap Farrow circa 1982)and having heard you singing on Saturday and knowing myself what my voice is like (brill and Elvisesque), you are the best and I am number 2. That is not to say that Bri and Kev did not do their best..they did, but they were just not good enough to breach the top 2!!!....regards, Nick. lol

bri hird Friday, 8 February 2008 04:29
nice comments nick but at the next karaoke we will have to test the top two singers anyway it was a brilliant day no matter how bad crooners we were see you at the next meet nick all the best bri smile

Alan Conn Sunday, 10 February 2008 19:43
Have you noticed Bri that they have not mentioned the RBL equevilent to Robson and Jerome.Simply the Best.

Kev Williamson Friday, 8 February 2008 09:10
Al Holmes,
Yes that was the map reading instructor delivering a lesson on knowing where you are on exercise, so you can report the enemy positions. Unfortunately I don’t think you attended such a presentation, private joke. Nick still wears that romper suit with May when he's feeling amorous.

tom Friday, 8 February 2008 10:02
lol nice to see you actually wearing webbing Kev, although white doesn't suit.

marty williams Friday, 8 February 2008 16:19
i still think you both look as cute now as you did then xix

Kev Williamson Saturday, 9 February 2008 04:08
Come on guys, give us a break, you know only too well i spent all my career with the GH in those military fategues and burning the midnight oil reading pamphlet 21 (whatever that was, im sure someone knows). So please don't give the people who visit this site the misapprehension i liked wearing tracksuits.

Al Holmes Saturday, 9 February 2008 17:18
Seem to be getting abit of stick Kev sorry about that mate whats this about me getting lost.U said you wouldent tell anyone remember who got u back to camp in Canada take care mate.

Hello Pete Goodchild. Am working in Newcastle and my new Clerk of Works, Billy McEvoy, ex-RA worked with Hughie at Newcastle Council on security for 10 years and says Hughie lives in Seaton Delavile. He has some great tales of Hughie exploits over that time. Some things never change he's still a real character. Regards to you and Pat.
