Mr Peter CURTIS – Richmond Branch

Peter Curtis comes from a distinguished Green Howard family. He joined the Army in 1964 as an Infantry Junior Leader and trained at Oswestry. He joined 1st Battalion in Colchester, serving with his contemporaries in British Honduras, Panama, Canada, Germany and six times in Northern Ireland. He completed postings at the Depot, in the TA at Guisborough, and with the Support Weapons Wing in Wiltshire. Notably, he volunteered for secondment to the Royal Army of Oman from 1982 to 1984.

On leaving the Regular Army after 25 years’ service, Peter joined the TA for a further six years, during which time he was commissioned. Peter Curtis is a strong supporter of the Richmond Branch, and is a committee member of the Friends.
