A message to the site from David Winfield about his father.

December 17, 2017

I have been told that my father was regular army at the outbreak of the second world war and was ‘attached’ to the Green Howards when he retired at the rank of warrant officer after the war. I believe he may of re-enlisted in 1948.

There are ‘stories’ from my family as to where and what he did during the war but I do not know what is fact and what is fiction, although it seems probable that he could play the piano (pre juke box days).

Thank you for your help in this matter.

Best Regards
