Hello, As part of this year's Remembrance Sunday, I have been researching all those commemorated on my village war memorial (Brompton-on-Swale). There are of course numerous Green Howard's who fell in 2 world wars. One Green Howard, Reginald Taylor, Private 4377696, 1st Bn died on 15th May 1941, Aged 27. He lays in the Londonderry City Cemetery and is the only Green Howard at rest there as far as I can tell. I understand that the Battalion was training there at the time - can anyone confirm that? I can only currently presume Reg died of illness or during a training incident - if anyone has further information please let me know. My research is being published at www.bromptononswalehistory.com
